Our training is designed to help parents navigate the challenges often encountered in fostering and adoption, which many parents can experience, particularly when it comes to managing behaviour or safety concerns. We'll provide clear answers to the most common questions you may have.

  • Non-Escalation Techniques: Learn effective verbal skills to handle everyday situations without making them worse. 

  • De-Escalation Strategies: Find out how to calmly manage high-risk conflicts or crises. 

  • Duty of Care Guidance: Discover how to ensure safety for your child, yourself, and other children in your home. 

  • Understanding Government Guidelines: Get to know what national authorities recommend regarding best practices for restraint. 

  • Risk Awareness: Learn about the potential risks involved in restraint interventions and how to minimize or avoid them. 

  • Understanding Reasonable Force: Understand the reasons for, appropriate times, and methods of using reasonable force for protective measures. 

  • Principles of Physical Protection:  Explore ways to protect yourself from injury if a child becomes physically aggressive. 

  • Protective Intervention Techniques: Review last-resort methods for physical control when necessary.
